Registered Nurse SICU

Job Title
• Registered Nurse – SICU (Surgical Intensive Care Unit)

Location
• Columbus, OH

Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours per shift

Key Responsibilities
• Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill surgical, trauma, burn, or transplant patients in the SICU
• Administer medications, monitor patient status, and document care using Epic electronic medical record system
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively using SBAR protocol
• Ensure compliance with all safety and clinical standards, including BLS and ACLS certifications
• Adhere to floating assignments as required

Required Qualifications
• Valid Ohio registered nurse license; compact license acceptable
• Minimum of 2 years recent ICU experience, preferably in Surgical, Trauma, Burn, or Transplant ICU settings
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH certification preferred
• Experience with medication systems such as Pyxis, Accudose, or Omnicell
• Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting process prior to start date

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Previous travel nursing experience or flexibility to float across ICU units
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
