Travel RN – Psychiatric / Behavioral Health

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | Shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adolescent behavioral health patients on a 9-bed inpatient psychiatric unit
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing monitoring throughout the shift
- Administer medications accurately and in accordance with established nursing protocols
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) to ensure patient safety and therapeutic outcomes
- Utilize electronic medical records (Cerner) and unit equipment including PYXIS and DYNAMAP
- Maintain professional boundaries and adhere to unit nursing practice guidelines; float to Adult and Child Behavioral Health units as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active RN licensure in good standing
- Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse experience
- Behavioral Health experience required; candidates without this background will not be considered
- Current BLS certification
- Current CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in Pediatric Behavioral Health settings
- Calm, composed demeanor well-suited to an adolescent psychiatric environment
