Key Responsibilities
- Perform a broad range of ultrasound procedures including abdominal, gynecological, obstetric, neonatal, superficial structure, and vascular studies in an acute hospital setting
- Conduct OB imaging across all trimesters including amniocentesis, biophysical profiles, placental grading, and identification of fetal abnormalities
- Perform vascular studies including carotid duplex, segmental pressure studies, and upper and lower extremity venous and arterial duplex
- Execute procedures such as aspirations, biopsies, drainage, and intraoperative ultrasound
- Operate department imaging equipment including Canon i700 ultrasound systems, Meditech EMR, and Fuji Synapse PACS
- Float to other units and departments as needed; participate in on-call rotation as appropriate
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of full-time experience as a sonographer in an acute hospital setting
- Prior travel or contract assignment experience (one contract or more required)
- ARDMS certification in Abdomen (AB), Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB), and Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification — must be American Heart Association (AHA) certified
- Competency across abdominal, GYN, OB, neonatal, superficial structure, and vascular ultrasound modalities
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Proficiency with Canon i700 ultrasound equipment, Meditech EMR, and Fuji Synapse PACS
- Experience with pediatric and transvaginal sonography as well as neonatal head and congenital anomaly imaging
