Full-time, Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide advanced patient care in the Intensive Care Unit for critically ill adults with complex medical conditions such as sepsis, DKA, COPD, and heart failure.
• Monitor and interpret dysrhythmias, arterial blood gases, and invasive monitoring including central lines, chest tubes, and arterial lines.
• Manage ventilated patients, including ventilator settings, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, and suctioning procedures.
• Administer and titrate medications such as vasoactive drips, cardiac medications, and emergency drugs, following protocols.
• Perform procedures including PICC line management, chest tube management, and high-level vascular access.
• Ensure infection control and safety procedures, including PPE, infection prevention, and isolation precautions.

Required Qualifications

• Valid NC or Compact Registered Nurse license
• Minimum of 2 years ICU experience, with recent expertise in Medical ICU setting
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Proficiency in interpreting dysrhythmias, ABGs, and invasive monitoring
• Ability to float as needed within facility

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in CVICU, Neuro ICU, or Surgical ICU
• Prior charge nurse or leadership roles
• Experience with post-cardiac surgery, GI surgery, or community hospital settings
• Knowledge of thermoregulation, PICC line management, and high-acuity procedures
