Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for laboring patients, antepartum patients, and post-operative patients in a high-volume Labor & Delivery unit
- Perform and interpret continuous electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) in accordance with AWHONN intermediate standards
- Assist with vaginal deliveries, Cesarean sections, and PACU recovery
- Provide antepartum care and testing within a 13-bed Maternal Assessment Center for triage of pregnant patients
- Administer and monitor medications and protocols including Pitocin, cervical ripening agents, Magnesium Sulfate, Hydralazine, and Labetalol
- Collaborate with 24/7 ancillary services including Anesthesia, Neonatal, Laborist, and Hospitalist teams
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license with a minimum of 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience
- AWHONN Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring certification
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
- Proficiency with Labor & Delivery equipment including Hill-Rom birthing beds, Alaris IV pumps, GE core metrics FM, Panda warmers, CADD Solis epidural pumps, and NOVI wireless FM
- Experience with EMR systems (CPN/Centricity and/or Meditech)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- OR circulation experience for Cesarean sections
- Proficiency in placement of Fetal Scalp Electrode (FSE) and Intrauterine Pressure Catheter (IUPC)
