Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) setting within an acute care hospital environment
• Participate in on-call rotations as required by department needs, including weekday and weekend call shifts
• Utilize Epic for all clinical documentation and charting
• Float between facilities within the state as directed by department needs
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes during cardiovascular procedures

Required Qualifications

• Active, valid California RN license (must be in hand prior to start – no pending licenses accepted)
• Minimum of 2 years of CVOR experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
• Ability to fulfill on-call requirements: 2 primary and 2 secondary weekday calls per 6-week cycle (10:30 PM – 6:00 AM), plus 2 primary and 2 secondary weekend calls (12-hour shifts)
• LA Fire Card obtained within the last 30 days required
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Must disclose any license or background hits at time of submission; no open license hits will be approved

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic electronic health records system
• Demonstrated flexibility with scheduling, including block schedule and on-call availability
• Prior travel nursing experience in a CVOR or perioperative setting
