Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Job Title

• Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (Days, 12-Hour Shifts)

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, days shift, 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Room setting, including triage, assessment, and stabilization of acute patients
• Interpret dysrhythmias, administer emergency medications, and perform procedural sedation as needed
• Manage ventilated patients, trauma cases, psych holds, and pediatric emergencies
• Document all patient interactions accurately in EPIC and maintain compliance with hospital protocols
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain clinical proficiency in a Level I Trauma Center, stroke-certified, and STEMI-certified environment

Required Qualifications

• Valid Ohio RN license (Compact license acceptable)
• At least 2 years of ER experience in a hospital setting
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and CPI certifications required
• Comfortable with triage, dysrhythmia interpretation, emergency medications, ventilated patients, trauma, psych holds, and pediatric emergencies

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a Level I Trauma Center or stroke/STEMI-certified facility
• Familiarity with EPIC documentation and Pyxis medication systems
• Ability to work floating shifts; flexible and adaptable to staffing needs
