Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 12-Hour Shifts) | Every Other Weekend Required | 1 Holiday Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to postpartum mothers and newborns in a Mother Baby unit
- Monitor and assess maternal and neonatal health status throughout the postpartum period
- Educate patients and families on newborn care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in accordance with facility standards
Required Qualifications
- Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of Mother Baby / Postpartum nursing experience
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Availability to work every other weekend and 1 holiday
- All required credentials must be submitted prior to start date
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with newborn care and lactation support
- Familiarity with postpartum complication recognition and intervention
