Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 16-bed ICU setting with targeted ratios of 1:2 for critical care patients and 1:3 for intermediate-level patients
• Manage and monitor patients requiring open heart post-operative care, including CABG and valve post-op recovery
• Operate and manage advanced hemodynamic support devices including Impella and IABP
• Perform and monitor CRRT therapy as indicated by patient condition
• Read, interpret, and respond to cardiac rhythm strips and EKG telemetry
• Float within the facility or to nearby affiliated campuses as directed, including high-acuity and respiratory units, based on census and skill set

Required Qualifications

• Valid Ohio Registered Nurse license or active compact RN license in good standing (no past disciplinary actions)
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Minimum 2 years of CVICU or relevant critical care nursing experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Demonstrated experience with ventilator management, IV insertion, ICP monitoring, and conscious sedation
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records system

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for COVID-positive patients in a critical care environment
• Familiarity with hypothermia protocol post cardiac arrest and prone positioning
• Experience in a Level III Trauma Center or similarly complex acute care environment
