Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) / Clinical Lab Scientist

Contract | Day/Evening Shifts (4x10-hour shifts) | Rotating Weekends | On-Call As Needed

Key Responsibilities

• Perform generalist laboratory duties across multiple departments within a short-term acute care facility
• Cover a variety of shifts as needed, including mid, evening, and rotating weekend shifts
• Conduct Blood Bank procedures as part of routine laboratory responsibilities
• Operate independently during assigned shifts following completion of training and competency verification
• Utilize Epic for laboratory charting and documentation
• Comply with float requirements to sister facilities as operationally needed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Clinical Lab Scientist
• Generalist background with demonstrated Blood Bank experience
• Active Oregon laboratory license (may submit with license pending)
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Ability to work independently after training and competency sign-off
• Must have reliable personal vehicle for this assignment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a short-term acute care or Level IV Trauma Center setting
• Flexibility to cover nightshift hours when needed
• Comfort working in a high-demand environment with variable scheduling needs
