Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery

Job Title

Schedule / Job Type
• Travel, 13-week assignment, Days shifts, 12-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities
• Provide labor and delivery nursing care to patients in a 24-bed Maternal Infant Unit.
• Perform maternal and newborn assessments, assist with vaginal deliveries and C-sections.
• Monitor fetalheart activity using GE fetal monitors and manage antepartum, postpartum, and neonatal care.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including nursery nurses, OB techs, and educators.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort during labor, delivery, and postpartum procedures.
• Document care accurately in EMR systems such as Meditech and CPN.

Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery nursing experience.
• Valid BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certifications.
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts on a schedule of 3 shifts per week.
• Proven experience handling vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and antepartum care.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• 2+ years of labor and delivery experience in high-volume LDRP settings.
• Experience with neonatal and postpartum care.
• Familiarity working with electronic medical records such as Meditech and CPN.
