- Registered Nurse - Oncology (Travel)
Location
- Asheville, NC
Schedule / Job Type
- Travel, Night shifts, 12.5 hours per shift, 3 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to oncology patients in a busy hospital setting
- Administer chemotherapy and assist with procedures such as echoes and thoracentesis
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality patient outcomes
- Follow hospital policies and unit guidelines, including safety and infection control protocols
- Document patient care accurately using the Cerner EMR system
- Participate in occasional patient assessments and procedures as needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license
- BLS certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Oncology nursing experience preferred
- Chemo certification and familiarity with oncology procedures a plus
- Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to unit policies
