Schedule / Job Type
• Full-Time, Days, 8.5 hours per shift, 13-week travel assignment
Key Responsibilities
• Provide nursing care in the operating room, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patients
• Support cardiovascular (open-heart) cases and assist with general OR procedures as needed
• Administer medications and treatments utilizing established protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately
• Educate patients, their families, or caregivers on post-operative care and treatment plans
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and safety
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred)
• RN license in Texas or a compact state
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• Minimum of 2 years of Cardiovascular (CVOR) and EPIC charting experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience supporting general OR cases in addition to cardiovascular surgery
• Strong understanding of perioperative protocols and procedures
