Job Title
• Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

• Full-time, nights, 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities
• Provide patient care to adults in a stepdown or progressive care unit with mixed acuity.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and dysrhythmias, managing related patient needs.
• Administer IV therapies, blood products, and manage central lines and PICCs.
• Support pre- and post-surgical patients, including wound care and respiratory support.
• Collaborate with rapid response and code teams as needed.
• float within the OSU organization as required and adhere to all unit protocols.

Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years recent progressive care or similar PCU/Stepdown experience.
• Ohio registered nurse license (compact license accepted).
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• NIHSS certification required.
• Ability to float within the OSU network.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience with telemetry, dysrhythmia management, and blood product administration.
• Familiarity with heparin protocols, wound care, and perioperative patient management.
• Previous experience in a teaching hospital environment.

• All candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly upon contract signing to meet compliance deadlines.
• One pre-approved time-off request allowed per contract.
• Travel compliance is strict; candidates outside Ohio within driving distance must complete fingerprinting immediately after booking.

• Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 12-hour shifts.
• Three shifts per week; every other weekend required.
• RTO must be specified at submission; candidates should build it into their contract.
• References: Two professional references required, including one from a manager or leadership role; coworker references not accepted.
• Education from an ACEN or CCNE-accredited program required.
