Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (11:00 AM – 11:30 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from a wide range of surgical procedures including Neuro, Ortho, Thoracic, Urology, Gynecology, Plastics, Peripheral Vascular, and Pediatric surgeries
• Monitor and manage high-acuity and critical care patients, including intubated patients, in a fast-paced Level 1 Trauma Center PACU environment
• Participate in on-call rotation, averaging 12–24 hours of call per 6-week schedule block
• Work at least one holiday shift per contract period and be available for call during holidays
• Float within the hospital or to affiliate facilities as required
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient transitions through the post-operative phase

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Indiana or a Compact license (must be in hand prior to start date; temporary license may be acceptable once permanent application has been submitted)
• Minimum 2 years of PACU or relevant clinical experience
• Current ACLS, PALS, and BLS/BCLS certifications required
• Experience with all surgical service lines, including Neuro, Ortho, Thoracic, Urology, Gynecology, Plastics, Peripheral Vascular, and Pediatric patients
• Comfortable managing intubated patients and high-acuity critical care cases
• Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in an ICU or PCU setting
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic health record system
• Experience working in a large, high-volume Level 1 Trauma Center
