Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | Shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM | Projected Start: 07/27/2026
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 16-bed Labor and Delivery unit with patient ratios of 1:1 and 1:2
- Assist with and support vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&C, cerclage, and related obstetric procedures
- Operate and monitor Baxter pumps and Philips electronic fetal monitoring equipment
- Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR and Fetal Ink systems
- Provide immediate newborn care and manage high-risk obstetric patients
- Float to related units including MFMU, MOMB, and NICU as needed and approved
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
- High-risk obstetric experience required
- Demonstrated competency in immediate newborn care
- Active RN licensure applicable to the state of North Carolina
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Current BLS and/or ACLS certification
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Circulating experience in the Labor and Delivery setting
- Outgoing, friendly, and adaptable personality well-suited to a fast-paced, high-acuity unit
