Contract | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Rotating Days and Nights (07:00–19:00 / 19:00–07:00) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to neonatal patients in a high-acuity Level 4 NICU setting
• Manage and monitor patients requiring advanced respiratory support including oscillators, conventional ventilators, CPAP, and nasal cannula specialty gases
• Perform and assist with line management including PICC lines, Broviacs, UAC, UVC, and PAL lines, as well as care for patients with trachs, ostomies, and G-tubes
• Deliver pre- and post-operative care for surgical neonates, including management of patients with multiple drips and complex line changes
• Float within scope of practice to other units and satellite campuses as needed, with mileage reimbursement provided from the home base location
• Utilize Epic for all clinical documentation and charting

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN license (or confirmed ETA for licensure posting prior to start date)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a Level 4 NICU or strong surgical experience in a Level 3 NICU that performs surgeries on newborns
• Current BLS certification
• Advanced NRP certification
• Cardiac experience
• Must have reliable personal transportation; local candidates (within 50 miles of facility) are not eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• PALS certification
• Experience as a first-time traveler with verified Level 4 NICU background
• Familiarity with pediatric float environments including PICU, CTICU, and Med Surg within scope of practice
