Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) within an acute care, Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated facility
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status using Cerner electronic health records
• Float to other ICU units within scope as needed to meet facility staffing needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to deliver safe, high-quality critical care
• Adhere to all facility policies, compliance requirements, and module completion deadlines

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse license — must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of SICU or critical care nursing experience
• Current BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross accepted; RQI cards not accepted)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA or Red Cross accepted; RQI cards not accepted)
• Current NIHSS certification
• Ability to work every other weekend and 2 of 3 major holidays per assignment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience charting in Cerner
• Prior travel nursing experience in an ICU setting
• Familiarity with Level I Trauma and Magnet facility standards
