Registered Nurse – ICU Float

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Float across multiple ICU settings including Trauma, Oncology, Cardiac/Heart and Vascular, Neurology, Medicine, and COVID units
- Provide direct patient care in ICU settings at a 2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Float to inpatient floors (Oncology, Neurology, Med Surg, Medicine, Trauma, Heart and Vascular, COVID) when ICU census is low, with a ratio not to exceed 1:3
- Fulfill every-other-weekend requirement with a minimum of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule, plus holiday rotation
- Utilize EPIC for all clinical documentation and charting
- May be utilized as a patient sitter if operationally needed
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, plus at least 1 year of CV ICU experience
- Active RN license (MO or compact license accepted; IL license must be in hand at time of submittal)
- Current BCLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications
- Proficiency with ventilators, IV insertion, telemetry monitoring, and conscious sedation
- Must be an experienced traveler — first-time travelers will not be accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Cardiac skill set including Swan-Ganz/hemodynamic interpretation, IABP, Impella, ECMO, vasoactive drips, and CRRT
- Triage experience, ICP monitoring, PA line management, and Level 1 Trauma experience
- Certifications such as CCRN, ONS, Chemo, TNCC, or CPI
- Prior experience with EPIC electronic health records
