Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days (3x12-Hour Shifts, 7:00–19:00) | Variable Start Times: 7:00 or 9:00 | Weekend availability required | On-call required (distributed equally among nursing staff, up to 6–8 shifts per 6-week period, including nights, evenings, and weekends)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in the Operating Room
- Support and participate in trauma, neurological, vascular, and orthopedic surgical cases
- Float between like units within the facility or to affiliate facilities nearby as needed
- Participate in on-call rotation, including evening, night, and weekend call shifts as assigned
- Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health record system
- Adhere to facility protocols, compliance requirements, and patient safety standards
Required Qualifications
- Active, valid California RN license (no pending licenses accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience
- Experience in trauma, neurological, vascular, and orthopedic surgical specialties required
- Current BLS certification
- Proficiency with Epic charting system
- Willingness to work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting
- Ability to adapt to variable start times and flexible scheduling needs
- Familiarity with floating between units or sister facilities
