Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift | Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts (8:00 AM–4:30 PM); 4x10-hour shifts (7:00 AM–5:30 PM) may be considered | No weekends | No holidays
Key Responsibilities
- Treat an average of 10–12 patients per 8-hour day across acute inpatient, Swingbed rehab, and outpatient settings
- Provide approximately 2–3 hours per shift of acute inpatient and Swingbed rehab coverage, with remaining time dedicated to outpatient care
- Evaluate and treat patients with primarily orthopedic conditions (post-surgical, general pain), neurological diagnoses, balance impairments, and generalized weakness
- Manage a full patient caseload independently, expected by day 3 of orientation
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently using electronic health record systems
- Participate in one-on-one orientation with department leadership and complete required computer-based training modules upon start
Required Qualifications
- Active Wisconsin Physical Therapist license
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist outside of clinical rotations or school
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical environment
- Willingness to cover acute inpatient, Swingbed, and outpatient settings within the same shift
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 3 or more years of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist outside of school
- Prior inpatient physical therapy experience
- Experience with Cerner electronic health records
