Registered Nurse – Neuro/PCU (Stepdown)

Contract | Nights | 3x12 or 4x12 Hours (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Neuro/PCU stepdown setting with patient ratios of 1:4–5
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and neurological assessments for assigned patients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Float within scope to like units or sister facilities as needed to meet staffing demands
• Document all patient care activities accurately using Epic EMR
• Participate in emergency response team assignments as required, including during hurricane season (June–November)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a Neuro/PCU or comparable stepdown setting
• Active South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start date
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Telemetry competency required
• No first-time travelers; prior travel nursing experience preferred

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience charting in Epic EMR
• Familiarity with neurological patient populations and stepdown care protocols
• Flexibility to accommodate varying schedule needs based on unit demands
