Travel RN – Labor & Delivery (Night Shift)

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an active Labor & Delivery unit including LDR rooms, OB triage, antepartum, and PACU settings
- Manage and administer IV drips including magnesium and other high-acuity medications
- Circulate and assist in cesarean sections and other OR procedures performed on the unit
- Monitor and support patients through labor, delivery, and recovery with a focus on high-acuity cases
- Float within the women's and children's service line as required per unit policy
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech and CPN electronic documentation systems
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Virginia or compact state eligibility
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- AWHONN Fetal Heart Rate Intermediate certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a fast-paced Labor & Delivery unit with high-acuity patient populations
- Experience in a scrub role and circulating in an OR environment
- Familiarity with procedures such as cesarean sections, epidurals, spinals, cerclage, and external cephalic version
