Cath Lab Tech (Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)

Schedule / Job Type
Full-Time, Direct Hire | Day Shift | 4 x 10-hour shifts, Monday–Friday 6:00am–4:30pm | On-call required approximately 7–8 days per month including weekends and holidays | On-call response time within 30 minutes of notification | STEMI call required
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during catheterization and electrophysiology lab procedures under general supervision
- Prepare the procedure room and equipment prior to each case
- Instruct patients and monitor their condition throughout procedures
- Provide routine and emergency patient care during cardiovascular procedures
- Contribute to the orientation and training of other team members
- Support daily, monthly, and quarterly quality control initiatives through auditing and reporting
Required Qualifications
- ACLS certification required within 30 days of hire/transfer
- BLS certification required within 30 days of hire/transfer
- Must hold at least one of the following credentials: ARRT-R (Radiography) with Medical Radiologic Tech (MRT) licensure through the Texas Medical Board, Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES), Certified Electrophysiology Specialist (CEPS), or Certified Cardiac Device Specialist (CCDS)
- Ability to respond to on-call situations within 30 minutes of notification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a Cath Lab or Electrophysiology lab setting
- Familiarity with STEMI response protocols and emergent cardiovascular procedures
