Key Responsibilities
- Partner with residents and interdisciplinary care teams to create a safe and therapeutic environment through direct and indirect patient care
- Provide specialized nursing care to Alzheimer's and dementia residents, utilizing both verbal and non-verbal communication techniques to address resident needs and behaviors
- Deliver skilled nursing and rehabilitation support services to short-term patients recovering from fractures, joint replacements, back surgery, stroke, and other conditions
- Administer IV therapy, wound care, and geriatric assessment and management as needed
- Provide long-term care nursing services in a home-like environment across multiple units
- Float to other units as needed to ensure adequate coverage across a 24/7 care setting
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid State of Maine RN license or compact RN license in good standing
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary care team
- Flexibility to provide coverage across a 24-hour, 7-day-per-week schedule and float to other units as needed
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 1–3 years of prior RN experience in a post-acute, long-term care, or skilled nursing setting
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Experience working with Alzheimer's and dementia populations
