Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Contract | Days | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit utilizing a team nursing model with support from PCCs and LPNs
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, responding to changes in clinical status in a timely and appropriate manner
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Participate in on-call duties and weekend shifts as needed
• Float to like units or nearby campuses as operationally required

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Medical Surgical or Telemetry nursing
• At least one prior travel nursing assignment completed
• Active RN license in the state of Tennessee or a valid compact (NLC-compliant) RN license – no pending licenses accepted
• Level I or Level II Trauma experience required
• Valid driver's license required at time of submission
• Willingness to work holidays as required (up to 2 of 3 end-of-year holidays if all fall within the assignment period)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 3 or more years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry nursing experience
• Experience in a large hospital setting
• EPIC electronic health record experience
