Occupational Therapist – Acute Inpatient (Travel Contract)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (5x8s); weekends required approximately 1–2 times per month; holidays as needed
Key Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy evaluation and treatment services within a hospital-based acute inpatient care unit
- Deliver patient care Monday through Friday with rotating weekend coverage as assigned
- Participate in holiday coverage based on facility needs
- Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner using Epic electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support patient recovery and discharge planning
- Respond to emergency response team assignments as required during hurricane season (June–November)
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care setting
- Active South Carolina Occupational Therapist license or Multistate Compact license required at start of contract
- Current BLS certification required
- Active NBCOT certification required
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Candidates must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility; local candidates are not accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel therapy experience in an acute inpatient hospital environment
- Familiarity with Epic electronic health records charting system
- Experience working within a large hospital system or academic medical environment
