Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Projected Start: August 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and manage perineal care for postpartum patients
- Provide comprehensive mother and baby nursing care within a 23-bed postpartum unit
- Educate parents on newborn care, safety, and bonding techniques
- Collaborate with charge nurses, CNAs, and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure quality patient outcomes
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech / CPN EMR systems
- Maintain patient ratios of approximately 3–4:1 in a fast-paced acute care environment
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital Postpartum / Mother Baby experience
- Current BLS certification
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Proficiency with Meditech / CPN EMR or comparable electronic medical record systems
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 2 or more years of experience in a dedicated Mother Baby unit
- Demonstrated flexibility with scheduling and ability to adapt quickly to new clinical environments
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach with strong communication skills across staff and provider teams
