Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Contract | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | 3x12 or 4x12 shifts available | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit within a short-term acute care hospital setting
• Monitor and manage patients at a ratio of 1:6–1:7, ensuring timely assessment and intervention
• Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias and telemetry monitoring as needed
• Float within scope to like units or sister facilities to meet staffing needs
• Attend required staff meetings and complete all assigned onboarding modules prior to start date
• Participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June–November) as directed

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start date
• Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records
• All required compliance documentation and onboarding modules must be completed before the start date

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Telemetry nursing experience
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias
• Familiarity with acute care hospital environments
