Social Worker / Therapist – Psychiatric Emergency Department

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | 4x10-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | Onsite | Every Other Weekend Required (Saturday & Sunday)
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct crisis risk assessments for both adult and pediatric patients in an emergency department setting
- Provide clinical social work and therapeutic services across adult and pediatric emergency units
- Float between units within the facility as staffing needs require
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
- Document clinical assessments and interventions accurately using electronic health record systems
Required Qualifications
- Full, unrestricted Washington State licensure required — associate-level licensure will not be accepted
- Must hold one of the following licenses: Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Experience conducting crisis risk assessments with adult and pediatric populations
- Valid Washington State or Compact license in hand at time of submission
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior hospital or acute care setting experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity with Epic electronic health record system
- Experience working in a trauma center or high-acuity emergency department environment
