Contract (13–26 weeks) | Days | 3x12 or 4x12 Hours (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures including left and right heart catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, and rotablader atherectomy
• Assist with cardiac implant closure device placements, cardiac stent placements, and IABP placement and removal
• Scrub procedures and manage equipment setup in the cardiac cath lab environment
• Recognize and respond to life-threatening arrhythmias and interpret dysrhythmias during procedures
• Maintain strict infection control standards including sterile technique and isolation precautions
• Participate in rotating on-call schedule as needed alongside staff and agency personnel

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience required
• Active Illinois license required at time of submission — pending licenses not accepted
• Active ACLS, BLS, ARRT, and RCIS certifications required (AHA or Red Cross accepted; RQI cards not accepted)
• Experience in both diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab settings required
• Proficiency with Cerner electronic health record system required
• Competency with middle and older adult patient populations required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• First-time travelers welcome — new travelers accepted for this assignment
• Experience with a high-acuity, acute care hospital environment preferred
• Familiarity with Magnet-designated facility standards and Level I trauma center workflows a plus
