Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Function as part of a Resource Float Pool, with the ability to float to an additional campus as scheduled and needed
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; administer and manage medications in accordance with unit protocols
• Participate in on-call coverage, including holiday coverage requirements, and fulfill additional shift or on-call obligations as outlined in contract
• Adhere to facility attendance policy; maintain consistent shift coverage throughout the 13-week contract

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in South Carolina or compact state (pending license accepted; must be obtained prior to start date)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience; 2 years preferred (considered on a case-by-case basis)
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications required
• Must pass Cardiac Dysrhythmia Test and Medication Test on the first day of orientation (one attempt allowed)
• Must be able to meet facility fit testing requirements, which may include shaving
• Candidate must reside beyond a 75-mile radius of the facility (locals not accepted); former permanent staff at this health system are not eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with EPIC electronic health records system
• Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry setting
