Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Every other weekend required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit within a short-term acute care hospital setting
- Monitor and manage patients with telemetry needs, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Maintain patient ratios of 1:6–1:7 while delivering safe, high-quality nursing care
- Float to like units with like patients as needed to meet facility staffing needs
- Complete all required facility modules prior to start date and attend mandatory staff meetings
- Participate in emergency response team assignments as required during hurricane season (June–November)
Required Qualifications
- Active South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start date
- Minimum of 2 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
- Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health records charting system
- All required compliance items and modules must be completed prior to the start date
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Telemetry experience with demonstrated ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias
- Familiarity with short-term acute care hospital environments
