Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36–48 Hours per Week | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays as Required | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry setting as part of a float pool
- Float to various units and hospital locations as needed based on staffing demands
- Monitor and assess patients on telemetry, responding promptly to changes in condition
- Document patient care accurately using the facility's EMR system (Meditech)
- Adhere to facility dress code (solid navy scrubs) and all applicable policies and procedures
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
- Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Alabama or a valid Compact license (temporary licenses not accepted)
- NURSYS verification required
- Current AHA BLS certification or Red Cross equivalent
- Minimum of 18 months of overall nursing experience, with at least 1 year of recent experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry
- Must be willing and able to float to multiple units and hospital locations
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 2 or more years of experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry specialty
- Prior experience working in a float pool or multi-unit environment
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR
