Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days – 4x10-Hour Shifts (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday; Wednesdays off) | 07:00–17:30 | No Call, No Float, No Weekend Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Perform 8–10 ultrasound scans daily in a high-risk OB/GYN outpatient clinic setting, operating independently out of a single room
- Conduct a full range of OB/GYN and fetal imaging studies including dating scans, BPP, growth, AFI, GYN, pelvic mass, abnormal endometrium, biometry, crown rump length, and pelvic scans
- Execute comprehensive fetal assessments including abdominal circumference, bone lengths, cerebellum, ventricles, diaphragm, fingers/toes, gender, and fetal heart imaging
- Perform 1st through 3rd trimester OB/GYN evaluations including fetal anatomical surveys, amniotic fluid index, multiple pregnancy assessments, and placenta previa imaging
- Operate GE ultrasound equipment and document findings accurately using Epic and Viewpoint systems
- Function as a solo sonographer, demonstrating strong clinical judgment and independent decision-making in a high-risk environment
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of sonography experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
- Active ARDMS and ARDMS OB/GYN credentials required
- Current BLS certification required
- Demonstrated proficiency in Adult, High-Risk OB, and Obstetrics work settings
- Proficiency with Epic EMR required
- NC state license or Compact license required (pending licensure acceptable for submission)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ARDMS-AB, ARDMS Fetal Echo (FE), and/or Nuchal Translucency (NT) credentials preferred
- Experience with portable ultrasound, general ultrasound procedures, amniocentesis, and UA Doppler
- Proficiency in fetal echo, inter/intra-orbital measurements, nuchal translucency screening, and umbilical cord Doppler
- Prior experience in a Maternal Fetal Medicine or outpatient clinical setting
