Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required | Holiday Rotation
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Stepdown/IMC/PCU setting with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Monitor and assess patients requiring intermediate level of care, identifying and responding to changes in patient condition
- Float within scope to like units as needed, consistent with expectations for staff nurses
- Participate in holiday rotation and every-other-weekend scheduling
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly using Epic electronic health record system
- Participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June through November) if required by facility
Required Qualifications
- Active South Carolina RN license or valid Compact RN license – must be in hand prior to start date
- Minimum 2 years of Stepdown, IMC, or PCU nursing experience
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- Prior travel nursing experience required – first-time travelers are not accepted
- Candidates must reside beyond a 60-mile radius of the facility; locals are not accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- NIHSS certification preferred
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
