Contract | Full-Time | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours per Week | Every Other Weekend Required | Rotating Holidays
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed Cardiac Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit
- Monitor and care for patients including heart failure, post-procedure, pulmonary, GI, and behavioral acute presentations
- Interpret telemetry and EKG readings to support clinical decision-making
- Collaborate within a structured staffing model alongside unit coordinators and nursing team members
- Float to additional facilities as needed to support staffing demands
Required Qualifications
- Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- Demonstrated cardiac experience
- Minimum of one completed travel contract
- Must achieve a score of 80% or higher on an EKG competency test administered on the first day of orientation
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a Medical/Surgical Telemetry setting with high patient acuity
- Flexibility and comfort with floating to multiple facilities within the region
