Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days (3x12-Hour Shifts, 7:00–19:30) | 36 Hours per Week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical Telemetry unit during day shift hours
• Monitor and interpret ECG cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with facility protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Participate in unit coverage requirements including rotating holiday shifts (at least every other holiday)
• Complete required facility orientation assessments including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate evaluations

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – permanent Ohio license or compact state license required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 18 months of permanent, recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
• Active American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required and in hand at time of submission
• Active American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required and in hand at time of submission
• Must achieve an acceptable score on ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments completed during orientation (maximum of 2 attempts)
• One professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty from an assignment within the past 12 months is required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 18 months of Med/Surg Telemetry experience obtained within a single location
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring systems and cardiac rhythm interpretation in an acute care setting
