Registered Nurse – PICU / Pediatric Float Pool

Contract | Days (3x12-Hour Shifts, 7:00–19:00) | 36 or 48 Hours Per Week | 13-Week Assignment | Every Other Weekend and Every Other Holiday | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Float across various pediatric units including PICU, NICU, Pediatric Med/Surg, Pediatric PACU, Pediatric ED Boarders, and Postpartum/Mother Baby
• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to pediatric and neonatal patient populations within scope of practice
• Adapt clinical skills and practice to meet the needs of multiple pediatric specialty units as assigned
• Adhere to facility float pool policies and unit-specific protocols
• Accurately document patient care activities using the Epic electronic health record system

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
• NICU experience required; must be comfortable across both PICU and NICU settings
• Active RN license in Virginia (pending license accepted; must be in hand by the Wednesday prior to start date)
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS
• Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification required (may be submitted as pending)
• Epic electronic health record experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience in a Pediatric PACU setting highly preferred
• Prior NICU/PICU float pool experience preferred
• BSN preferred
