Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Observation unit in accordance with facility protocols and nursing standards
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Monitor and document patient status, vital signs, and responses to treatment throughout the shift
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate safe and effective patient transitions
- Administer medications and treatments accurately while adhering to safety and compliance guidelines
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Tennessee or a compact state license
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Medical Surgical nursing experience
- Current BLS certification
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts in a fast-paced inpatient environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in an Observation unit setting
- Previous travel nursing experience
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
