Registered Nurse (RN) – Long-Term Care / Skilled Nursing Facility

Luverne, MN
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Rotating Shifts (primarily 12-hour shifts, some 8-hour shifts) | Onsite | Every other weekend and every other holiday required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents in a long-term care and skilled nursing environment
- Manage and monitor patients with common diagnoses including dementia and geriatric conditions
- Collaborate with nursing staff maintaining established nurse-to-patient ratios (2 nurses on day shifts, 1 overnight nurse)
- Utilize electronic medical records system (PCC) for accurate and timely documentation
- Participate in facility-specific orientation including training with the lead team and supervised floor shifts
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Minnesota
- Experience working in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility setting
- Ability to work rotating shifts including days and overnight coverage
- Availability to work every other weekend and every other holiday
- Proficiency or ability to quickly learn PCC electronic medical records system
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience caring for geriatric populations and patients with dementia
- Familiarity with long-term care documentation standards and regulatory requirements
- Experience working in a smaller facility or rural healthcare setting
