Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary health care team using evidence-based practice to deliver safe and optimal patient outcomes
• Perform general nursing duties with critical thinking skills and minimal supervision across age-specific populations including neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and implement individualized care plans in an acute care setting
• Promote continuity of care through effective communication with the interdisciplinary team and patient families as appropriate
• Direct and oversee the work of support staff in the provision of patient care

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse program
• Current RN licensure in the State of Iowa and in good standing with the Board of Nursing
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; ability to function effectively as part of a team
• Demonstrated critical thinking and technical nursing skills with sound clinical judgment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Prior nursing experience in an acute care setting
• High degree of empathetic listening skills, tact, and kindness toward patients and coworkers
