Registered Nurse – ICU (Critical Care Float Pool)

Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 36 hours/week | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Float to a variety of critical care units based on staffing needs and patient acuity, including Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs, Medical ICUs, Cardiology/Diagnostics, CVICU, SICU, MICU, and NCCU
- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients across units of equivalent or lower acuity per float policy
- Perform IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and ventilator management as part of routine critical care practice
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to assess, plan, and implement individualized patient care
- Accurately document all patient care activities and clinical findings using electronic health record systems
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
- Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system required
- Demonstrated competency in IV starts, telemetry, and ventilator management
- Valid RN license (compact or Ohio state license) required at time of submission
- Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience floating across multiple ICU specialties or within a float pool setting
- Familiarity with neurological, cardiovascular, and surgical critical care patient populations
