Sterile Processing Technician

Contract | Evening Shift (5x8 Hours, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM)
Key Responsibilities
- Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment in accordance with established protocols
- Prepare and distribute sterile instrument trays and supplies to the operating room and other clinical areas
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and equipment maintenance
- Operate and monitor sterilization equipment to ensure proper function and compliance with safety standards
- Adhere to infection control policies and regulatory requirements throughout all sterile processing activities
Required Qualifications
- Active CBSPD or IAHCSMM certification required
- Prior experience in an acute hospital operating room (OR) setting required
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing techniques, decontamination, and sterilization standards
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a high-volume surgical services environment
- Familiarity with instrument tracking systems and sterilization documentation practices
