Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Oncology)

Contract | Days / Nights Rotating | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Day: 7:00–19:30 / Night: 19:00–7:30

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical Oncology unit, including continuous cardiac monitoring related to chemotherapy administration
• Support patients with soft tissue malignancy receiving diagnostic services, chemotherapy, and symptom management
• Manage symptoms secondary to disease-related treatment or progression, as well as patient comorbidities
• Implement and maintain infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention measures
• Operate specialized equipment including GE telemetry (B450 monitors), Alaris pumps, bladder scanner, and Stryker beds
• Float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed based on staffing priorities

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Valid RN compact or state license in hand at time of submission
• Active BCLS certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Proficiency in dysrhythmia interpretation, port access, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line and PICC line care, IV starts, chest tube insertion/removal assistance, high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), and ABG interpretation
• Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Oncology nursing experience preferred but not required
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
