Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – Operating Room

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days, 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM) | Rotating weekends and holidays | Up to 4 on-call shifts per month and 1 on-call weekend shift per month | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Scrub surgical cases across a broad range of specialties including Ortho (total joints, spine, trauma), Neuro (craniotomy, spine), ENT (flaps), Robotics, Transplants/Procurements, Trauma/Burns, and GU/GYN
- Operate within a high-volume, Level I Trauma Center environment across 21 OR suites covering all surgical specialties
- Float within scope to support facility needs across like units as required
- Participate in on-call rotation including call shifts and weekend call as assigned
- Document and chart using EPIC electronic health record system
- Participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June through November) as required
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist
- Active NBSTSA certification (NCCT not accepted)
- Current BLS certification
- Level I Trauma experience required
- Radiation badge required (must be provided by agency)
- Ability to scrub the full variety of cases supported by the Main OR
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Neuro cases including spines and craniotomies
- Experience with ENT flap cases
- Robotics experience, specifically with the Da Vinci Xi system
