Registered Nurse – Electrophysiology (EP) Lab

Contract | Days | 5x8-Hour Shifts, Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM | Onsite | 13-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with and support Cardiac Cath Lab procedures including pacemaker/defibrillator lead extraction and Watchman procedures
• Perform and assist with Electrophysiology procedures including cardiac ablation, cardiac mapping, cardioversion, arrhythmia induction, conduction studies, pacemaker insertion, AICD insertion/programming, and Left Atrial Appendage (LAA) closure
• Administer and monitor cardiac medications including antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, and thrombolytics
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias and obtain 12-lead EKG/ECG readings
• Provide patient education with emphasis on lifestyle modifications and medication adherence
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary team

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Washington State or applicable Compact license
• Minimum 2 years of experience working as an RN in an Electrophysiology (EP) Lab
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records (experience required)
• Demonstrated competency in EP and Cardiac Cath Lab procedures as listed above
• Strong knowledge of dysrhythmia interpretation and management

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Heart and Vascular clinical setting
• Familiarity with quality improvement processes in a procedural or specialty care environment
