Surgical Technologist (CST) – Operating Room

Contract | Days | 4x10-hour shifts (6:45 AM – 5:15 PM) | Onsite | On-call required

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scrub technologist duties across a 9-room operating suite supporting a wide range of surgical specialties
• Float between service lines as needed to meet unit demands
• Participate in on-call coverage, including approximately 4 weekday call shifts and 1.5 weekend call periods per 4-week schedule
• Utilize Epic for clinical documentation and charting
• Adhere to all facility protocols, including radiation safety requirements and emergency response procedures during hurricane season (June–November)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist
• Active BLS certification required
• NBSTSA certification required (NCCT not accepted)
• Radiation badge required — must be provided by the staffing agency prior to start
• Demonstrated experience across required case types: General Surgery, Robotics, Orthopedics, Podiatry, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Urology, and ENT
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application; RTO submitted after placement will not be accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic EMR system
• First-time travelers considered if candidate has experience across all required surgical service lines
• Ability to adapt to a block schedule based on unit needs with manager approval
