Contract | 13 weeks or longer | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | 12-Hour Shifts | Thursday, Friday & Saturday | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | Call Requirement: 1 day per week (Wednesday) and every 4th weekend (Friday/Saturday/Sunday)

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a broad range of MRI examinations including general studies, musculoskeletal (MSK), body, neurological, and breast imaging across adult, adolescent, and geriatric patient populations
  • Operate Siemens Aera 1.5T MRI equipment and utilize imaging systems including EPIC, Pyxis, and Visage PACS for documentation and image management
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and perform peripheral IV starts as required for imaging procedures
  • Execute advanced MRI sequences including T-1 and T-2 weighted imaging, MRA, MRV, MRCP, and a full range of spine, head & neck, abdomen, pelvis, chest, and musculoskeletal protocols
  • Adhere to isolation precautions and maintain compliance with all patient safety and infection control standards
  • Participate in a 72-hour unit orientation and complete required pre-start modules prior to assignment start

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of MRI technologist experience
  • Active ARRT (MR) certification required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Proficiency across multiple work settings including Adult Acute Care, Adult ICU, Adult Outpatient, ER/Trauma, Pediatric Acute Care, and Pediatric Outpatient
  • Demonstrated competency in abdomen, pelvis, chest, head & neck, musculoskeletal, and spine MRI protocols
  • NC license or compact license (pending acceptable for submission)

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Additional certifications such as ACLS, ARMRIT, or ARRT (R) are a plus
  • Experience with advanced imaging procedures including CINE, diffusion imaging, gradient echo, perfusion, spectroscopy, MIP, multiplanar reconstruction, and peripheral MRA
  • Cardiovascular MRI skills including MR Cardiac, MR Aortogram, MR Pulmonary, and MR Angio Lower Extremity with bilateral runoff
  • Management or lead experience and familiarity with radiation safety principles
