Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert, compassionate, and individualized nursing care for antepartum, laboring, recovery, and postpartum patients, as well as well newborns and Level II Nursery patients
• Oversee daily patient flow to optimize patient care, safety, and satisfaction, including triaging incoming patient requests for services
• Deliver patient education to facilitate plan of care, support informed healthcare choices, and promote optimal wellness including lactation education and assistance
• Administer medications, perform treatments, and assist in procedures while consistently adhering to patient safety guidelines
• Coordinate patient care with other providers and care team members to achieve the highest possible level of patient outcomes and satisfaction
• Utilize Relationship-Based Care principles to advocate for patient safety, preferences, and optimal communication in partnership with patients and families

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing (for positions hired after 07/01/2018)
• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Colorado or from a valid compact state
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in Mother Baby, Postpartum, or Level II Nursery nursing settings
• Demonstrated ability to delegate care appropriately in accordance with Colorado state statute
• Strong critical thinking, prioritization, and independent decision-making skills
